This tumbler starts as a slab of stoneware clay. The EOD badges are rolled into the clay with a custom made rolling pin. The slab is then hand formed into a classic pint glass shape. The badges are emphasized with a translucent glaze. The inside is a creamy white.
Each ceramic piece is hand thrown on a pottery wheel using a porcelaneous stoneware and fired to approximately 2260°F in a kiln.
Dishwasher, food, and microwave safe. Although it is dishwasher safe, I recommend hand washing to maximize longevity. Dishwashers are rough and the detergent is harsh.
